Biography

Rasipuram Krishnaswami Laxman or in short known as R.K Laxman was born in Mysore on 24th October 1921 and died on 26 January 2015 in Pune. He was one of the famous cartoonists from India who rocked the political world through his popular cartoons. RK Laxman initially started his career as a part time cartoonist for local dailies and magazines.During his college days, he did several illustrations for his brother RK Narayanan, who wrote the "The Malgudi days". Through his common man series in the newspaper "The Times of India", he became quite popular.
