Insanely Hyper-Realistic Acrylic Still Life Paintings by Tim Gustard
The acrylic still-life paintings of Tim Gustard seem to have been inspired by the Dutch masters. Tim Gustard graduated with a B.A. (Hons) in fine art from the Stoke City Art School. Initially, he was painting landscapes and architecture. Later, he found a passion for oil painting and still-life paintings. Since 1980, he has been experimenting with his style on paper, canvas and mixed media. His acrylic still life paintings are small yet stunningly composed. His acrylic still-life paintings are highly photorealistic. According to Tim Gustard, "What I find especially fascinating about this type of subject matter is creating the illusion of light and space. Each object has its significance, in terms of its position and size, but equally there has to be a convincing suggestion of the space around and between objects".
