Kuala Lumpur International Photography Contest - $5000, 30 April 2018
Photography Contest: The Kuala Lumpur International Photoawards is an annual contest conducted to help emerging and established photographers bring their creative work to light before the world. The 2018 contest marks its 10th year, so a special grand prize of $5000 has been introduced by the KLPA. The contest is open to all photographers around the world, regardless of nationality. The 2018 contest focuses on a photo story or project within the practice of portraiture. The KLPA trophy was designed by award-winning designer and artist Kong Wee Pang, who is based in Memphis, USA. Apart from the requirement that the photo should be a portrait of people or their environment, there are no other restrictions or specific themes for the contest. It simply explores photographers' creativity without limitations. Post-processing should be minimal, and the image should be unmanipulated to emphasize the photographers' individual talent.

Prizes :
One Grand prize winner will be selected from either of the 2 categories and will receive $5000. A total of $10,500 prize money will be given away for the winners and will receive a free 2 year subscription of European Photography magazine from Berlin. The 50 finalists chosen will be invited to Whitebox Gallery situated at PUBLIKA for an exhibition along with the winners. The results will be announced in the Awards Presentation in Kuala Lumpur, Malasia in September 2018.
