Laura Baverstock is a specialist in exquisite hand embroidery and illustrations. She combines many stitching techniques to create insects, butterflies and animals out of thread and beads. She uses illustrations and photography to study her subject in detail before creating her stunning hand embroidery pieces. The facial structures and features are very prominent in her hand embroidery, which is one of the distinctive features of her work. Laura graduated with a BA (Hons) Degree in Hand Embroidery for Fashion, Interiors and Textile Art from The Royal School of Needlework. Some of her top clientele are Alexander McQueen, HBO and Legendary Entertainment. Her hand embroidery and costume work can be seen in the Hollywood blockbuster movie "Mary Queen of Scots".
