Justine McKinney is a makeup FX artist who trained herself for years to master her craft. Her mind-blowing monsters, grotesque creatures and even comic cartoons are all products of her self-training. Each creation takes approximately 10 to 20 hours and is cost-effective. Body painting that is smaller and more detailed can also be referred to as a 'temporary tattoo', which requires patience and passion for the art. According to Justine, her work, though labor-intensive, provides a Zen state while painting. As for her artistic tendencies, “My style is definitely more cartoonish, in my opinion; I like bold outlines and comic-type images, and I think that shows!” Justine found that the least expensive way to pursue her passion was through body paint rather than cosmetic FX, which is costly.
