20 Water-Drop Macro Photographs and Manipulations by Dave Wood

Dave Wood water-drop photography began after he borrowed a friend’s DSLR and developed a passion for macro droplets in 2009. Close and slow-motion techniques reveal reflections, shadows, and temporary forms that disappear too quickly for ordinary observation. Wood also introduces favorite cartoon characters through photo manipulation, using each suspended drop as a tiny reflective stage. This gallery presents 20 examples that combine precise timing with playful post-production. Browse Dave Wood water-drop photography to see how a common material can produce compact shapes, mirrored symbols, and delicate optical effects when photographed at the right instant.
