Annecy Animation Festival Calls for Entries - Submission Deadline: February 5, 2018
Animation: Annecy is one of the largest animation festivals in the world. Entries are accepted for projects in four categories: feature films, short films, television series and specials, and interactive creations/transmedia. It is part of MIFA, a prestigious film festival, and Annecy (Animation du Monde) focuses primarily on animated movies. The animation festival runs from June 11 to June 16, 2018. You can expect many workshops, animated movie screenings, exhibitions, VR screenings, boutique entertainment, and opportunities for knowledge exchange. The official winners of the animated movie competitions will be declared during the festival.

Numerous prizes are awiting the participants. The grand prize winner gets production funding, distribution deals and many such goodies. Last year the winners received $170,000 as production funding. Each projects which are submitted should be in the development stage(script, storyboard, statement of intent, graphic research). Students are also welcome to submit projects but they shouldn't be out of an animation course.
